see related...Infinity?
Is the word for the general subject of "feeling infinite", in fact "infinity"? Just a question. So I borrowed (from Jeffrey) and read this book during the winter called The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. It's one of my favorite books I've ever read. Kinda has some tough, mature subjects but man, when I was done did I feel more happy about my life and more profound. It's definitely a sad book though, but there's some good one-liners fersher. I don't know it's just extremely epic. There's one thing-well, more than one thing really-but the biggest thing that I think about from that book from time to time is a part when Charlie, the main character from whom the viewpoint is written from, is driving with his two best friends, Sam and Patrick, through a tunnel blasting good music, with the windows down and he says "And in that moment, I swear we were infinite." I really want a moment where I can truly say that I felt INFINITE. Really. Like not in a weird way or anything, but I think to have my "infinite" moment I need to have the perfect time. I experienced a little bit of infinite-ness on RMC Grad night and that week after Cross Current. I feel like when I'm driving down the road blasting RMC music and Coldplay to a fast food joint, having crazy fun, then proceeding to play frisbee in the parking lot after McDonald's (gotta love the Ukranians) gives me a taste of that. I've really honestly felt so close to it, but I don't think I've had my TRULY infinite moment yet, but that's okay. Who am I to say when my moment's coming? I feel like a dork for saying all this but it's something I've been wanting and now that we're leaving for Brasil on Monday I wonder if I'll feel that way this summer at all. Okay, now I feel dramatic and weird saying all this stuff, but after reading The Perks of Being a Wallflower you can't help but think weird thoughts. Haha, I'll have to let y'all read the books for yourselves :)

There's some quotes from the book to get you interested. It's definitely a VERY good book, but it's kind of a tough read too because of some of the sadness the main character goes through, man, it's not neccessarily a book that leaves you feeling like a million bucks, or like you just saved a puppy from being run over, or even the feeling you get when you eat warm cookies outta the oven. It's kind of a feeling you get where you feel empty? I duno. Maybe I just read to much into things and think too hard. Which I'm pretty sure I've done in this post. Sorry for rambling. And sorry for excessive posting lately, I've just a had a lot on my mind I guess.
Alright. Peace easy, Young Jeezy. :) My new favorite phrase by the way. Oh, and I'll definitely keep y'all posted while I'm in Brasil we'll have a few laptops with us this time. Anywho, watched Mrs. Doubtfire tonight. Hilarious! Love it :) Okay, sorry to kinda leave the post all dramatic and sadish but um something funny would be uhh this video!:

Okay, I have realized in the past few weeks that there are the stupidest little things that absolutely draw me to a guy. Like of course there's the non-negotiables but then there's the absolute dumb things that totally enthrall me about men. Mine involve things such as he'll stick a baseball cap on me like Shia LeBouf does in "Eagle Eye", when he puts a hat on Michelle Monoghan's head. Adorable as ever. Another thing is he has nice hands and he doesn't walk weird. Or his pants are low but not baggy enough to show his boxers all the time, but not high enough that his pants are all over his little booty. When he apologizes for things he scratches the back of his neck and looks sheepish. Such stupid things, but they're so extremely cute! Haha.
I love a guy who listens to good music too. Some of my personal faves would be bands like mewithoutYou, City and Colour, and definitely some Death Cab. And while we're on the subject of music, I really really dig a guy who sings and/or plays an instrument. Woo ee, don't even get me started! I was at a friend's house once and he called me over to sing with him, (which I can't sing to save my life but hey, it's all in good fun), so he starts playing the guitar and I asked him what song he was playing and he said "Lucky" by Colbie Cailliat and Jason Mraz. I just about broke my jaw when it landed on the ground! We sang the duet together and despite the fact that I don't even like him I was just so happy with the fact that we sang TOGETHER. It brought me so much joy! I think there's just something radically attractive about a guy who plays instruments, ya know? Or guys that are really like well-read up on Disney classics. Not creepy like "I love the part in Snow White when she itches her left nostril right when it hits the hour mark in time." If he knows that much he a) has no life, b) and is probably creepy.
So, girls (and guys!) what are the stupid little things that will draw you to a guy or girl? I'd love to hear your feedback! :)

Bring Me Your Love

Week 1: "So THIS is What Hell is Like!"
I was dreading the basketball camp with just about everything within me. I wasn't ready to put on my dumb ankle brace and basketball shoes. I just wasn't ready, the scars were to fresh from the season and I just wanted to rest! But it still came, as quickly as anything you're ever dreading. I walked into the gym, promptly at 3:15, sadly put my shoes on my feet. Eww, they kinda stink. was my initial thought. Then the camp started and Steph and I helped out, taught the kids (1st-4th graders) stretches and then taught them some ball handling drills. Then, Coach Emenecker decided to give them a warm up game of tag. Screaming children, pushing children, crazy children, chaotic children. I see why some parents don't pick up their kids till 5:30 at after care. The first thing I said was "So, this is what hell is like. I see." Second session..man, those children were like the living dead. They said nothing, so in response I said nothing.
Week 4: "Aww, they're kinda cute. I might miss them."
I kinda dreaded today for some reason, maybe because I was sickly. But I ended up running late because we had a basketball meeting with Coach Leonard. Yep, Coach Leonard. Coach Carlson resigned from the varsity boys' coach, Coach Emenecker took his place, and Coach Leonard (the football coach, mind you) took his place. It's gonna be interesting! The meeting went well, then it was off to child basketball camps (aka Mini-Camps, which is what has been called for years and years and years). It was acutally kinda enjoyable and the kids and I interacted really well. I'm definitely gonna miss my little first graders! Ben and Kayla are my two faves to be perfectly honest. LOVE THEM! Then the second session went well, the kids actually decided they like me. Success!
Yesterday was a good day, today was alright despite the sickness. Okay actually, yesterday was one of my best days. It was extremely satisfying. Not sure what it was but I think it was a lotta little things that made it a great day. Casual dress day, lotta laughs, school's ending, BEST LUNCH OF OUR LIVES!, Cross Current, hanging out till 9:30 after cross current, talking with friends. It was beautiful! :) Hah, so...si. Thas bout it. I guess I went from a "I HATE THIS!" to a "Aw, not so bad." for mini-camps. They're alright I guess. :D

Hannah Montana: The Movie
Crazier, Backwards, You'll Always Find Your Way Back Home, THE CLIMB!
see relatedXang-Uh!
It's been awhile, since like New Year's since I've updated. Well, let's see updates since New Year's...well a lot! Basketball got done in early February-hallelujah, and I decided not to play softball or run track which was a good decision in the long run. I definitely miss it sometimes, but I get to bed a lot earlier and I get homework done a lot faster.
School's alright, goin' by pretty fast. I am ready for summer! Well, kinda. That means basketball starts up again, but it also means Brazil, Coram Deo!, hangin' out. :) I am SO pumped for Deo, now that we know what we're doing haha. I'm bummed though about NX Gen. I was accepted and my parents said last year that I would be able to do it this year if I got accepted. Instead, we're going to Brasil. I'm grateful, but pretty bummed because I was super excited for it. Oh well, hoefully I get accepted again next summer.
Small groups are going wonderfully. My small group is literally like my family. I should probably hang out more with school people but the only people I hang with on the weekends is my Revolution amigos haha Earthbeat on Saturday! Woooot! I really love earthbeat, as lame as that sounds. I think it's just such a fun time working outside in the beauty and just hanging with my best friends! Then after earthbeat we're heading to Jimmy's to hang out and all the girls are crashin' at Hunter's :) I love it. Funny story: Jimmy's sister, Sarah, asked him if he was having us over on Saturday after earthbeat, because she wanted to have The League over. He wasn't planning on it but decided to say, "Yep, all planned out. Talked to mom and dad, they both said okay. So no chance for your small group." Jimmy hadn't talked to anyone in the family about it yet. HAH! His house is the best for small group hang outs because we just watch movies, and play in the studio downstairs. Love it! Anywho, I have just been so busy with small group stuff lately. Which is not a bad thing at all, it's my favorite thing to be busy with: Cross Current activities. :)
Well, nothing terribly new. So this is about it for the evening. Oh! Joanna's quincenera is on May 9th. I'm pumped! Should be a good time! I'm excited to daaance, dress up, and hang with mis amigos. Jo is gonna look gorgeous too! And freshman/sophomore/international students lock-in at Carlson Ice Arena on May 8th. That should be fun too! About time I hang with some school peeps. haha Well have a good time. Hit me up on facebook or twitter to see what's going on in my daily life!
OHHHHHHHHH! I WATCHED THE HANNAH MONTANA MOVIE ON SATURDAY! BEST MOVIE EVER! Chantal and I went to go see it. Sososoosososososososo good. Like, no lie. The boy in it is super cute and the songs are really good and just everything about it was awesome. I liked it more than expected. Chantal and I are gonna see it again like next weekend since it's Five Buck Club :) Well worth your five bucks. I totally recommend seeing it! Well, now I'm really done. Night, love you all! Tidings of comfort and joy. :)
